It's been a while since I posted but I haven't been feeling well. First the exhaustion kicked in and now I've got some sort of issue with my ankle/foot. I thought I'd sprained my ankle but unfortunately, even though the pain and swelling was localized to the ankle at the time, it kept swelling and the pain spread. Now even my toes are a little bit swollen. The ultrasound was negative for blood clots so that's good. The white cells were normal on the blood work but the tests for arthritis were high.

I've got to have an MRI tomorrow so I can't have anything to eat or drink for the rest of the night, if it's an infection, they'll have to do surgery tomorrow so I've got to fast. The MRI is the only way to tell if it's an infection.

After using the crutches for a week, my body doesn't hurt in the correct ways. Normally when I use crutches my forearms and biceps hurt and my opposite leg... but rather than muscles hurting this time, it's nothing but my joints aching.

Possible diagnosis:
1. Infection in the ankle/foot.
2. Gout
3. Some other form of arthritis.

My latest crochet project. In the end it will be a messenger bag and this is just one panel but I couldn't find a pattern that I liked so I'm winging it.

Notes: Since I just finished what is hopefully my last round of chemo, I needed a hat and I wanted a trendy one that looked good. I decided that even though I’m very new to crochet, I’d give this one a shot. Now my head is warm and I look awesome.

Like I said, I learned to crochet. Here's my third project ever. It's a dice bag made with Super Saver Buff Fleck and some suede cord for drawstrings. This was made with Jedi Meg's Pattern from Ravelry.com

I got home from the hospital today and it feels good to be home. The kids (all have more than two legs) were excited to see me. Teddie's (Russian Dwarf Hamster) decided that Daddy's home and not allowed to leave again! Four weeks of conduction chemo and the hopes that AML has seen its last days inside me.

However, while I was in hospital, my boyfriend's Granny decided that she's my Granny too and I'm her Grandson and that I shouldn't be in the hospital for a whole month with nothing to do, hence why I've learned to crochet. I wasn't really willing at first (no offense to anyone, I'm just not all that domestic and learning these things tend to fail miserably with me) but she's one of those Hardcore Grannies that you don't say no to and watch her waltz right into the hospital with a pizza box and she just stares, daring someone to say no.

Did I mention Granny rocks?

So I learned to crochet and I'm not bad for someone who's been doing it less than a month, if I do say so myself (and I just did, so nyah). So you'll be seeing projects and stuff here along with stuff from my cafepress store and things I make for zazzle. I'll keep them categorized neatly, just for you... or for me, whichever one of us is going to read this.
